Several roads completed – further work planned until summer
According to the city administration, the final road construction in the southwest residential area of Griesheim is progressing. Several projects were successfully completed at the end of March.
New roads and paths opened
In addition to Elisabeth-Selbert-Straße, Marie-Curie-Straße and Sophie-Scholl-Straße have also been completed. Furthermore, the pedestrian and cycle path along Oberndorfer Straße is now fully open again.
Work is underway on Anne Frank Street
Construction work is currently focused on the northern section of Anne-Frank-Straße. The first sections of the sidewalk have already been completed. The full development of this area is expected to be finished by June 2026.
During the construction phase, access to the adjacent properties will be restricted. The affected residents were informed accordingly in advance.
Final construction phase in planning
The third and final construction phase is planned to follow. This includes the southern part of Anne-Frank-Straße including the adjacent courtyards, Clara-Schumann-Straße, Berta-von-Suttner-Straße and the access road from Westring towards Flecksweg.
Planning for this section is currently underway.
