An evening of rock, emotion, and storytelling awaits the audience on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the historic Künstlerkeller in Darmstadt. Starting at 8:30 p.m., Axel Balke and Alex Stix will present their concept album Creatures' Opera – A Story in the Key of Rock – live and in a unique atmosphere.
The rock opera, available on all major streaming platforms since October 2024, musically references the legend of Frankenstein Castle. At its heart is a modern story about prejudice, mistrust, and the power of reconciliation. Each track on the album tells its own chapter, where intense emotions merge with the energy of classic rock.
The event is much more than a concert: In a moderated panel discussion, the musicians will offer exclusive insights into the creation of the album – from the initial idea to the final release. Anecdotes from the studio, creative twists and turns in the writing process, and selected audio examples will allow guests to experience the development process firsthand.
The Künstlerkeller team will provide refreshments with a culinary program. An evening for rock fans, music lovers, and anyone who appreciates special live experiences.
