Charity run in the Fasanerie – anniversary event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Alliance Against Depression
For the twelfth time, the Alliance Against Depression in the Groß-Gerau district, together with the long-distance running division of TV 1846 Groß-Gerau, invites participants to the Run Against Depression. The running event will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the Fasanerie park in Groß-Gerau – and marks a special anniversary: the Alliance will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025.
The run starts at 11:30 a.m. Wristbands will be distributed and runners can register between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. at Dornberg Castle (adult education center) opposite the pheasantry. The run takes place on a roughly 1.5-kilometer loop – there's no time pressure. Participants can complete the course as many times as they like and at their own pace – running, walking, or strolling. Children, teenagers, and adults are all welcome.
Afterwards, the alliance invites everyone to a joint celebration at Dornberg Castle. There, participants can expect a diverse program including live music from the funk and soul band "Chic Times," a performance by the clogging group "No Limits" from TV 1846, games and fun with the SJD – Die Falken Darmstadt's "Rotzfreches Spielmobil" (cheeky mobile play unit), and information booths about depression, prevention, and support services.
Participation is free for registered runners. Online registration by May 29th via www.bgd-gg.de recommended. Those who decide to participate spontaneously will pay a five-euro entry fee on site – children and teenagers always participate for free.
The run is supported by numerous partners, including the Groß-Gerau district, the city of Groß-Gerau, the German Depression Foundation, and the Foundation for Mental Health. Financial sponsors include the Groß-Gerau Savings Bank, the Deutsche Bahn Foundation, the Groß-Gerau Regional Utility Company, Fraport, and the Rotary Club Groß-Gerau/Rhein-Main.
