WCGTour raises 802 Euro donation for children with cancer – Gross victories go to Traisa and Heitlinger
Mühltal. The fourth edition of the "Salvos Gastro-Cup," part of the WIEST Charity Golf Tour (WCGTour), was once again a resounding success in 2025. Over fifty golfers teed off last Saturday at the Darmstadt Traisa Golf Club to play for a good cause. The 18-hole tournament was the eighth event in this year's series and was played in largely good conditions despite mixed weather forecasts.
The team around the Salvo family of restaurateurs provided culinary refreshments at the halfway point, before the winners were honored on the club terrace in the evening. Sigunde Plösser (GC Darmstadt Traisa) and Stephan Pertschy secured gross victory . Both thus qualified for the grand finale of the WCGTour on August 9th at the Gernsheim Golf Resort.
This year, the tournament was once again played for a good cause: Birdies, pars, and bogeys raised a total of €362 , which will be donated to the Association for Children with Cancer and Chronic Illnesses Darmstadt / Rhine-Main-Neckar e. V. (VKKD) . An additional €440 was collected during the evening event – bringing the total donation to €802 .
The penultimate tournament of the current WCGTour season will take place on Tuesday, July 29th, at the Zimmern Golf Club – this time as an “After-Work Foursome”.
