Sandbachmimen bring new comedy to the sports and cultural hall
The Sandbach Players present their new play, the comedy "Where the Hell Is the Way to Heaven?" by Andreas Wening, in Pfungstadt. Performances will take place in the sports and cultural hall on Ringstrasse.
A heavenly-earthly comedy of errors
The story centers on master painter Wilhelm Holme, who unexpectedly finds himself in the afterlife. However, the path to the Garden of Eden proves quite different than anticipated: bureaucratic hurdles, exasperated archangels distributing flyers at the pearly gates, and a devil suffering from burnout lead to absurd situations.
Wilhelm gradually realizes that he is facing a trial. His wife has requested his transfer to Hell. The play combines humor with a satirical exploration of Heaven, Hell, and human weaknesses.
The Sandbach Mimes: Theatre tradition since 1973
The Sandbachmimen originated in the handball department of TSV Pfungstadt. The theater group was founded in 1973 by Werner Redig for a Christmas performance. As early as 1976, the amateur actors moved from the small stage in the Mühlbergheim to the sports and cultural hall, where they still perform regularly today.
Since 1994, the Sandbachmimen have been a separate department of TSV Pfungstadt and an integral part of the cultural life in Pfungstadt.
