Church & Co. asks for donations for children in need for school start
This year, too, the ecumenical church shop Kirche & Co. up in financial emergencies to support families: from July 1st to 1825, well -preserved school bags and donations are collected. The aim of the campaign is to give children a good start at the start of school - especially those from low -income households and refugee families.
The donation is taken from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. , Tuesday until 5 p.m. directly at Kirchen & Co., at the Stadtkirche 1, Darmstadt .
Support for first graders and first graders
The donated satchels are distributed in cooperation with Diakonie, Caritas, daycare centers and parishes from August 4 to 15, 2025 . Thanks to the financial aid of the Liridadi Foundation , the Diakonie Hessen Foundation and private donations will also receive basic equipment for school materials .
"The 'School satchel's action' is a sign of solidarity and a contribution to the gentle use of resources," explains Maren Dettmers, Protestant employee of the church shop. Andrea Bach, Catholic employee at Church & Co., adds: "The church shop is looking forward to many donations and thanks everyone who supports this campaign."
