Tournament in cooperation with the Goethe School on November 8th
Groß-Gerau. The chess club SV 1946 Groß-Gerau e. V., together with the Goethe School Groß-Gerau the first school chess tournament for the Groß-Gerau district school chess cup on Saturday, November 8, 2025 .
All students born in 2007 or later are eligible to participate . The tournament will be played in three age groups:
- WK I: Primary school students
- World War II: Grades 5 to 7
- WK III: Grades 8 to 10
The tournament starts at 10:00 AM and ends around 3:00 PM . It will be played in rapid chess format with 15 minutes per game over five rounds . The venue is the Goethe School in Groß-Gerau . The top three finishers in each age group will receive trophies .
Registrations are possible until November 1st, 2025 via email to turnier@schach-gg.de and are free of charge . Those who on-site on the day of the tournament will pay an entry fee of 5 euros .
Food and drinks will be available at the event.
Those interested in playing chess regularly are cordially invited to the club's chess evening – Fridays from 7 pm , youth training takes on Saturdays from 1 pm .
