The Groß-Gerau district has published an updated version of its brochure "Aging Independently." This guide provides a comprehensive overview of support services and resources available to seniors – from advice and pensions to care and support in their own homes.
This publication is aimed at older people and their relatives and also serves as practical support for counseling work. Its goal is to provide those seeking advice with quick and easy access to important information and contact persons within the district.
Overview of advice, care and engagement
The brochure is divided into several sections: advice and information, living at home in old age, staying active in old age, care and health, and social security in old age. It also presents opportunities for volunteer work, thus highlighting perspectives for an active and varied life in retirement.
Staff members from the senior services planning department symbolically presented the first copy of the new edition to First County Councilor Adil Oyan. Oyan emphasized that the brochure is a proven and popular resource for older people in the district and their relatives. It provides guidance in the search for individually suitable services.
Available online and free of charge
The brochure is available online at www.kreisgg.de/selbstbestimmtaelterwerden . It is also available free of charge at the Groß-Gerau district administration office, the care support center at the district office, and at the advice and coordination centers in the district municipalities.
Orders can be placed with the Social Security Department, Social Planning Service, Wilhelm-Seipp-Straße 4, 64521 Groß-Gerau, by telephone on 06152 989-313 or by email to sozialplanung@kreisgg.de .
