Exchange, encounters and support for people experiencing loneliness
As the self-help office in Groß-Gerau announces, a new self-help group for people experiencing loneliness . Under the title "Together lonely," those affected will find a place where they can openly talk about their feelings and build social contacts.
Loneliness affects many people, yet it is rarely discussed openly. The group's founder emphasizes that loneliness is "not a personal failure, but rather the result of complex biographical and societal factors." Often, the cause lies in early relationship experiences, exacerbated by modern lifestyles in which individual needs are frequently prioritized over communal ones.
Space for exchange and joint activities
The new group aims to create a safe space for emotional support and everyday encounters . Meetings will take place regularly and will alternate between confidential discussion evenings and shared activities.
- Discussion evenings: every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, 5–6:45 pm
- Joint activities: every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, 10–12 am
Planned activities include breakfast gatherings, walks, games, and creative workshops.
The first meeting will take place on December 2nd at 5 pm at the self-help meeting point , Kirchstraße 2, in Groß-Gerau.
The group will receive support from the self-help office during its formation, but is self-organized and not a therapeutic service. Participation is free .
