New program starting September 1 – over 50 courses offered for the first time
The fall semester begins at the Darmstadt Adult Education Center (vhs) on Monday, September 1st. A comprehensive program with nearly 600 offerings from all walks of life is available. More than 50 new formats pique curiosity about topics such as sustainability and the digital future. New additions to the program include a sustainable bike tour through the city and the course format "The Week," which uses film-based stimuli to create a practical exploration of climate change.
Extended offers at the M² location
At the M² location, the offerings have been further expanded. In addition to open meetings, there are free events on consumer issues and educational advice on training and careers. These will be available starting in September in the new building at the North Vocational School Center.
Focus on lifelong learning
The Darmstadt adult education center (vhs) focuses on lifelong learning, professional qualifications, and personal development with its program. The offerings cover the areas of languages, creativity, health, digitalization, and social responsibility.
Voices from the city
Education Minister Holger Klötzner emphasizes: "A diverse range of courses strengthens urban society because it gives people of all generations the opportunity to further their education, acquire new skills, and actively participate in the community. Sharing knowledge contributes to social participation."
