Creatively designed planters – next discussion round on August 12th
Griesheim. The Griesheim Senior Citizens' Advisory Board organized a creative crafting morning at the Johanniter "Leuchtturm" day care center . Together with the day guests, and under the guidance of Tanja Stephan, they decorated planters: balcony boxes were adorned with broken tiles , then filled with soil and planted donated plants from the Nothnagel nursery
The craft activity was received with great enthusiasm by the senior citizens. Back in the spring, the senior citizens' advisory board had already organized two similar craft mornings focusing on porcelain painting of plates and cups – these too were very well received by the participants.
Further actions planned
The collaboration with the Johanniter day care center is to be continued: craft activity for bird and bat nesting boxes is already autumn .

Interested residents can meet the Griesheim Senior Citizens' Advisory Board regularly at open discussion sessions in the Georg-August-Zinn-Haus . The next meeting is on August 12th , from 3 pm to 5 pm . Registration is not required.
