Registration for the computer course starts on January 5th; tickets for the senior citizens' carnival are available now
As part of the senior citizens' program of the science city of Darmstadt, two offers will be in focus at the beginning of 2026: a PC training course for senior citizens and the traditional senior citizens' carnival session.
PC training for senior citizens starting in January 2026
Those interested in the PC training can register from January 5th, 2026. The course begins on January 20th, 2026 at 1:35 pm and takes place at the Heinrich-Emanuel-Merck-School (HEMS) .
The training course comprises a total of four teaching units. The participation fee is €20 and is payable on site. The aim of the course is to impart basic computer skills and facilitate safe access to digital applications.

Advance ticket sales for the senior citizens' carnival session have started
Advance ticket sales have also begun for the senior citizens' carnival session of the Narrhalla Darmstadt 1846 eV . The event will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 , in the newly renovated rooms of the Maritim Conference Hotel Darmstadt , Rheinstraße 105.
The meeting begins at 2:11 p.m. , with admission starting at 1:11 p.m. Tickets cost €7.50 and are available in the foyer of the New Town Hall on Luisenplatz, as well as at the district offices in Arheilgen, Eberstadt, and Wixhausen during their respective opening hours, or at the box office on the day of the meeting.
This event is exclusively for Darmstadt residents aged 65 and over. Proof of age is required when purchasing tickets. Payment is cash only.
