Five athletes from SG Arheilgen complete the sprint distance – long-distance finish in Roth
Darmstadt. Five athletes from SG Arheilgen (SGA) competed in the sprint distance at the 16th Möwathlon on Sunday (July 6). The event, consisting of a 500-meter swim, a 19.2-kilometer bike ride, and a 5.5-kilometer run, took place in ideal conditions. All SGA participants finished successfully and delivered solid performances.
Sascha Prehn (M50) not only finished as the fastest team member with a time of 1:06:41 , but also secured first place in his age group . Eva Riedel (W45) finished the race in 1:20:06 , followed by Simon Elfe (M45) in 1:27:35 , Jürgen Heyd (M55) in 1:28:32 , and Franziska Heyd (W25) in 1:28:31 .
Alongside the Möwathlon, Guido Götz (M50) tackled the long-distance triathlon at the traditional race in Roth for SGA. He completed the 3.8-kilometer swim, 180-kilometer bike ride, and 42.195-kilometer run in 12:44:34 hours . Despite muscular problems during the run, he showed great fighting spirit and successfully finished the race.
