Five teams at the Mörfelden relay marathon
The first competition of the year for most SGA triathletes was the Mörfelden Relay Marathon on Sunday, January 19th. Five SGA Trias teams participated. According to SKV Mörfelden, a total of 110 teams competed this year.
The SGA fielded one women's team, one men's senior team, and three mixed teams. None of the teams reached the podium this year, but all the athletes were satisfied with their times. Some significantly improved their times thanks to the excellent tips from running coach Guido Götz during the Tuesday evening running technique training, while others benefited from their coach, Manu Östreich (move-beyou.de). With perfect running weather and excellent conditions, everyone crossed the finish line safe and sound.
The women's team finished in 10th place this year, the mixed team "1.0" in 5th place, the mixed team "Falsche Fuffziger + 1.75" in 15th place, the mixed team "2.0" in 19th place, and the senior men's team in 9th place. In the over-200 category, the mixed team "Falsche Fuffziger + 1.76" finished in 3rd place and the mixed team "2.0" in 4th place in their age group. All in all, it was another great event organized by SKV Mörfelden and a wonderful way to kick off the year.
