8th place in Taunusstein - strong individual times in several competitions on June 15th
Successful competition weekend for the triathlon department of the SGA Darmstadt: At the 5th Hessenliga Taunusstein won 8th place - a solid result in a demanding starting field. Despite the cooler 17 degrees, wind and rain, the four athletes on the selective route in Taunus showed a closed team performance.
The competition started in the morning with 1 kilometer swimming , followed by a 40-kilometer long bike route with around 750 meters of altitude and a final 10 kilometer run . All athletes reached the finish line healthy and showed strong individual services:
- Axel Reinhardt : 02:21:39 hours
- Anselm Schüle : 02:25:40 hours
- Guido Götz : 02:43:41 hours
- Lukas Beckmann : 02:51:43 hours
Use also in Babenhausen and Steinbeck
Torsten Velde and Karsten Herisch started at the Moret Triathlon in Babenhausen for the SGA in the 2nd Hessenliga . They completed the classic Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km bike, 10 km running) in the following times:
- Torsten Velde : 02:53:50 hours
- Karsten Herisch : 03:01:58 hours
The SGA was also represented as a single starter: Kathrin and Marcus Ortland started "Steelman" in Steinbeck . Kathrin Ortland completed the Olympic distance in 03:10:11 hours and took the 2nd place in her age group . Marcus Ortland mastered the long distance (1.5 km swimming, 70 km bike, 21 km running) in 04:34:35 hours .

With numerous starts, personal best and placements in the age group, the triathlon department of the SGA is on a promising course for the further season. The SGA team also distinguishes the combination of team strength and individual class in 2025.
