Senior cheated by several ten thousand euros - witnesses wanted
The police warn of a current fraud in Darmstadt-Arheilgen. On Monday (March 10), previously unknown criminals managed to deceive a senior with a so -called shock call and to bring a high cash.
According to previous knowledge, the perpetrators on the phone pretended to be doctors and claimed that the man's son was in a medical emergency. In order to finance an allegedly urgently needed medication, they demanded a high amount of money. The senior then handed over several ten thousand euros to an alleged courier around 6 p.m.
The criminal police have initiated an investigation. So far there is no evidence of the perpetrators.

Police warns of shock calls
This fraud stitch specifically uses the fears of older people. The police urgently advise:
- Don't be put under pressure. Stay suspicious of calls that you emotionally put under pressure.
- Put on immediately! Call the person concerned back under the number you know.
- Do not give any personal data or asset information on the phone.
- Never hand over cash or valuables to strangers - regardless of what.
- If you suspect, contact the police under 110.
