The club offers a beginner's course and is represented at the Christmas market.
As the club reports, the Gräfenhausen Skat Club won the South Hessian Skat Cup. The event took place at the Dieburg wrestling club. A total of seven teams from South Hesse participated, registering without prior qualification.
Cup round results
After four match days, the Skatfreunde Gräfenhausen team was in first place with 19:5 points, followed by the Skatclub Dieburg with 18:6 points and Pik As und Zehn Babenhausen with 17:7 points.
Stefan Dresely, Lothar Brand, and Martina Schmidt were recognized as the best individual players. Three other teams qualified for the statewide competition in Hesse next year.
Stand at the Christmas market and new course
On the second weekend of Advent, the Gräfenhausen Skat Club will have a stand at the Christmas and crafts market in Braunshardt Castle Park. Information about the club will be available, and registration for a beginner's Skat course will be possible.
The course starts on January 21, 2026, and consists of approximately ten sessions. It takes place every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Club championship at the end of the year
The club championship is nearing its end. Martina Schmidt currently leads the standings, followed by Jürgen Führer and Sascha Dechert. Last year's winner, Martin Steiger, is currently in fourth place.

Results from club meetings and other competitions can be viewed online. Weekly practice sessions take place on Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Gamebox clubhouse at Schneppenhäuser Straße 5 in Weiterstadt-Gräfenhausen.
