27th place in Korbach – successes in club and monthly rankings
Thirty teams competed in the 2025 Hessian Team Championships German Team Championship in Magdeburg . The Gräfenhausen Skat Club was represented by tournament director Sascha Dechert , Andreas Färber , Martin Steiger , Jürgen Führer , and Thomas Brückner . Despite high hopes, after six long rounds, they only managed 27th place with 19,431 points. Even Brückner's "Grand Ouvert" in round 4 couldn't change that.
Westerwald Jäger II team secured the title (24,582 points), closely followed by the Schwalm Buben Schrecksbach (24,573 points). The remaining places were taken by 1. SC Dieburg I , 1. Rödelheimer Skatverein , Direkt Energie Eschborn I , and Thermalbad Buben Bad Emstal I , all of whom will travel to Magdeburg.
Things went much better for the club: At the 35th club evening , Martina Schmidt (2,190 points) won after a long break, Georg Röth and Wolfgang Schroth . Newcomer Heinrich Pertsch immediately achieved 5th place Jürgen Führer won August monthly ranking with 7,194 points.
The Gräfenhausen skat players meet for practice on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at their clubhouse, "Gamebox," located at Schneppenhäuser Straße 5. Guests are welcome. Results can be viewed online at app.skatguru.de
