27th place in Korbach – successes in club and monthly rankings
in the 2025 Hessian Skat Team Championships in Korbach last weekend. In addition to the title, six starting spots for the German Team Championship in Magdeburg . The Skatfreunde Gräfenhausen team was represented by game director Sascha Dechert , Andreas Färber , Martin Steiger , Jürgen Führer , and Thomas Brückner . Despite high hopes, after six long series, they only managed 27th place with 19,431 points. Even Brückner's "Grand Ouvert" in series four couldn't change that.
The title went to the Westerwald Jäger II (24,582 points), closely followed by the Schwalm Buben Schrecksbach (24,573 points). The following teams finished second: 1. SC Dieburg I , 1. Rödelheimer Skatverein , Direkt Energie Eschborn I , and the Thermalbad Buben Bad Emstal I , all of whom will travel to Magdeburg.
Things went well for the club, however: At the 35th club evening, Martina Schmidt (2,190 points) won after a long break, Georg Röth and Wolfgang Schroth . Newcomer Heinrich Pertsch immediately achieved fifth place Jürgen Führer won August monthly ranking with 7,194 points.
The Gräfenhausen Skat Club meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. for practice at the "Gamebox" clubhouse, Schneppenhäuser Straße 5. Guests are welcome. Results can be viewed online at app.skatguru.de
