Board secures monthly victory – state and online leagues with highs and lows
For the Gräfenhausen skat club, May was marked by a rare success: club chairman Sascha Dechert secured the monthly victory 6,593 points Martin Steiger (6,230) and Jürgen Führer (6,011). Dechert was also among the top scorers at the most recent club meeting with 1,802 points – however, Jürgen Führer secured the day's victory with 1,998 points .
The month was less successful in the regional competition. The first team, consisting of Holger Witt, Sascha Dechert, Martina Schmidt, Jürgen Führer, and Martin Steiger, managed a solid 8-1 victory on the third match day, but fell short of expectations on the fourth with a 3-6 record. The team currently sits in 9th place (18-18).
The second team competed in the Landesliga Südhessen (regional league of southern Hesse) and recorded 3:6 points on each of the two match days in May. With a record of 15:21, currently in 12th place .
Even in the special tournaments, major successes eluded them. At the city cup, the team of Führer, Geißer, and Dechert missed qualifying for the next round, finishing in 6th place. The tandem intermediate round last place (19th) for Jürgen Führer and Wolfgang Schroth .
of the 1st Online Bundesliga , relegation was unavoidable. A restructuring for the upcoming season in the lower league is already being planned.
The skat players continue to meet on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. "Gamebox" clubhouse , Schneppenhäuser Straße 5 in Gräfenhausen. Guests are very welcome.
