After 20 years of club work: Wolfgang Schroth takes on press work in the Gräfenhausen skat club
On March 10, 2025, Helmut Bormet, long -time member of the Skatfreunde Gräfenhausen, celebrated his 75th birthday - and on this occasion resigned as the press officer of the association. Bormet was active for more than two decades, dressed almost every board office. "I was only 1st chairman," he comments with a wink.
For the game evening last Wednesday, the jubilee symbolically handed over the ballpoint pen to his successor Wolfgang Schroth. "He is twenty years younger than me, and I can't go on the job forever," Bormet explains his step. Schroth, also a long -time club member, is looking forward to the new task with respect and joy.
The skat club from Weiterstadt-Gräfenhausen is currently experiencing rain. More and more skate enthusiasts from the region are encountering the open and sociable coexistence of the skat friends. In addition to the sense of community, there is also sporting success: last year the team became German champion in the online skat. In addition, the club with a Hessian champion and a German runner -up with the gentlemen represents two other top players.
The Skat friends meet every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in their club home "Gamebox" at Schneppenhäuser Straße 5 in Gräfenhausen. Guests are welcome.
Further information on the association and membership is available on site or at the game evenings.
