Restrictions in Lindenhofstraße and surrounding area until the end of April
The science city of Darmstadt will be conducting soil investigation work in Lindenhofstraße and around Woogsplatz from April 13th to 30th, 2026.
The studies are part of the planned redesign of Lindenhofstraße, Mühlstraße and Woogsplatz. They are being carried out within the framework of the urban development funding program "Growth and Sustainable Renewal" in the funding area "Kapellplatz/Woogsviertel/Ostbahnhof".
The aim of the work
For the investigation, targeted excavations, known as exploratory pits, are carried out. The aim is to locate existing utility lines and, in particular, tree roots. The goal is to take these into account and protect them as effectively as possible during subsequent planning.
Restrictions may apply
During the construction work, there may be temporary restrictions on the use and accessibility of Woogsplatz. The city therefore asks for your understanding.
The project is jointly funded by the federal government, the state of Hesse, and the city of Darmstadt. Further information about the project is available online.
