Heiner*Solarberatung provides independent support to households in Darmstadt
The volunteer advisors of Heiner*Solarberatung Darmstadt Eberstadt provide free and independent support to Darmstadt households in deciding whether to install their own rooftop solar system. The goal is to create a sound and understandable basis for an individual investment decision.
The service includes an on-site consultation, during which, among other things, the appropriate system size in relation to personal electricity consumption is determined. The consultants also prepare a roof layout plan, a cost estimate, and a payback calculation. The integration of a heat pump is also considered upon request. Based on a comprehensive final report, interested parties can then obtain qualified quotes from regional specialists. If needed, Heiner*Solarberatung also assists in evaluating these quotes.
The helpfulness of this service is demonstrated by the example of a family from Darmstadt-Eberstadt. After a detailed consultation, they opted for a system with 34 modules and a 12 kWh battery storage unit. Installation by a local contractor took place in May 2025. The system has been running smoothly ever since. The next steps planned include installing a heat pump and switching to an electric car.
