Tower Observatory Stream Streaming Solar Finsters On March 29th Live on Twitch-chat interaction possible
On Saturday, March 29, 2025, the tower observatory of the TU Darmstadt will broadcast the partial solar eclipse live via the streaming platform Twitch. The stream begins at 11:00 a.m. with a short introduction by Professor Robert Roth from the physics department. The telescopes, observation methods and the scientific background of solar eclipse are explained.
Afterwards, the solent telescopes of the tower observatory show live camera images of the entire darkness. In Darmstadt the sky event begins at 11:21 a.m., the highlight with maximum coverage is reached at 12:10 p.m. The end of the solar eclipse is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
During the entire transmission, spectators can ask questions in the live chat and exchange ideas. In the week before the event, the Turm Observatory publishes current information on the weather conditions on its website.
