US singer songwriter brings energy, temperament and attitude
The US singer-songwriter Sonia Disappear Fear, which is grammy-nominated several times, returns to Darmstadt! On Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., she will give a concert in the Bessunger boy school-as part of the popular Americana concert series.
"She is a crowd favorite and brings the spring sun to Darmstadt again," says Americana curator Thomas Waldherr . Sonia stands for a unique mix of social engagement and musical entertainment . Her music transports clear messages against homophobia, racism and violence , packed into rousing folk rock melodies.

Sonia Disappear Fear is Bob Dylan's cousin , but musically it was particularly influenced by his contemporaries Phil Ochs . Their trademark is energetic appearances, penetrating passion, social awareness and a clear political attitude .
The artist has been involved in human rights , including the release of the Turkish singer Nudem Durak , who was imprisoned for her Kurdish songs. She also raises her voice in current crises: she is committed to peace in Ukraine and against terror and war in the Middle East.
