Two British singer-songwriters will be performing at the boys' school on April 16th
As part of the Darmstadt concert series "Americana," British singer-songwriters Sophie Rose and Emilia Quinn will perform on Thursday, April 16, in the hall of the Bessunger Knabenschule. The concert starts at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.
Both artists are at home in the genres of Americana, blues, country, and folk. Emilia Quinn is considered a versatile musician with a raw, soulful voice. Her sound blends influences from Americana, country, blues, and rock. She recently garnered attention in the UK with a successful tour in the fall of 2025.
Sophie Rose hails from the southwest of England and combines powerful vocals with personal lyrics about resilience and healing. Her debut single, "Healing in the Burn," reached number one on the iTunes UK Country Charts. This was followed by the EP "To the Core" and the 2025 single "Where Did Your Head Go?". She is currently working on her debut album.
In Darmstadt, Sophie Rose and Emilia Quinn will perform as a duo, presenting songs by both artists together. Americana curator Thomas Waldherr promises an intense and entertaining concert experience.
