Two events in May and June send a strong message in support of women, dialogue and networks
The Soroptimist International Club Darmstadt invites you to two special events in the coming weeks, offering insights into the diverse work and social relevance of this women's network. The Darmstadt club has been part of the worldwide network of Soroptimist International, the largest service club for professional women with a socio-political focus, since 1986.
May 21: Panel discussion with Tanja Brühl and Marie-Luise Wolff
On May 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., "Strong Women – Strong Stories" will take place at the ENTEGA headquarters (Frankfurter Straße 119, 64293 Darmstadt) . Panelists include:
- Professor Dr. Tanja Brühl , President of the Technical University of Darmstadt
- Dr. Marie-Luise Wolff , CEO of ENTEGA AG
The two prominent leaders will talk about their experiences, challenges and visions – and afterwards, at the reception, they will open the door to exchange and networking.
June 27th: Diner en Blanc at the Spargelhof Merlau
The Soroptimist Club invites to its third annual stylish Diner en Blanc June 27, 2025, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Merlau asparagus farm in Darmstadt-Arheilgen (Röntgenstraße 2). Guests, dressed in white, bringing their own food and elegant table decorations, will gather to enjoy a special evening in a summery atmosphere, with live music from the group “Sorores Saxomania” and a small bazaar.
A special highlight: Pre-reserved tables for up to eight people, as well as homemade ice cream and drinks at moderate prices. Table requests will be accommodated whenever possible. The evening is dedicated to hospitality, conversation, and enjoying each other's company.
About the club
The Soroptimist International Club Darmstadt was founded in 1986 and is part of Soroptimist International Germany (SI) . Its approximately 60 active members advocate for the professional, legal, and social advancement of women. In addition to monthly lectures and discussions, the club is involved in social projects and, through its international focus, creates a strong network for women in the workplace and society.
