Concert project combines symphonic wind music and choral singing
Under the title "Sound Worlds," the Hessian Symphonic Wind Orchestra and the Darmstadt Music Society present a joint concert project. More than 130 musicians from all over Hesse bring their passion for symphonic wind music and choral singing to the stage.
Encounter of two sound bodies
When the Hessian Symphonic Wind Orchestra meets the concert choir of the Darmstadt Music Society, a special sonic union is created. Shimmering wind colors, soft choral voices, and symphonic dynamics combine to form a multifaceted listening experience – sometimes powerful and rousing, sometimes tranquil and moving.
The orchestra of the Hessian Music Association is conducted by State Music Director Karsten Meier. The concert choir of the Darmstadt Music Society is conducted by Thomas Höpp. The interplay of the two ensembles creates new tonal colors and musical forms of expression.
