Online application portal open until January 25th – projects from all over southern Hesse sought
The online application portal for the 33rd South Hesse Cultural Summer is now open. From December 1, 2025 to January 25, 2026, organizers and institutions from all over South Hesse can submit their cultural projects for financial or promotional support.
The Summer of Culture supports formats from all artistic disciplines – from music, theater, and cabaret to literature, visual arts, and interdisciplinary projects. Projects that involve children and young people , enable participation , or pursue inclusive or integrative approaches
Applications for the Open Studio Days 2026 being accepted now. They will take place on September 26th and 27th, 2026 , and will once again mark the conclusion of the summer cultural program. Artists, studio collectives, and art venues from all six participating municipalities are eligible to participate.
The South Hesse Cultural Summer 2026 includes events in the Bergstraße district , Groß-Gerau district , Offenbach district , Darmstadt-Dieburg district , Odenwald and the science city of Darmstadt and takes place from June 1st to September 27th, 2026 .
District Administrator Klaus Peter Schellhaas , Chairman of the South Hesse Cultural Summer Association, emphasizes:
“We look forward to creative ideas, strong cultural projects and numerous open studios that showcase the diversity of South Hesse.”
