Preparations for the 2026 local elections are underway
At its annual meeting, the SPD Heimstättensiedlung branch reviewed its local political work and elected delegates for the upcoming Darmstadt SPD party conference. The focus was on both a review of its work in the district and a look ahead to the 2026 local elections.
According to chairwoman Rita Beller, the SPD Heimstättensiedlung sees itself as a point of contact for the interests of the people in the district. The aim is to actively fulfill this role in the future.
The meeting was chaired by Christina Brahm, chairwoman of the SPD Eberstadt and deputy chairwoman of the Darmstadt SPD. Initial personnel decisions were made in anticipation of the local elections, which are expected to take place in March 2026.
Five delegates were elected for the upcoming party conference of the Darmstadt SPD: Rita Beller, Frank Horneff, Robert Pfeiffer, the state parliament member and Darmstadt SPD chairman Bijan Kaffenberger, and Janina Büching.
