Exchange on current topics with Bijan Kaffenberger and the Settlers' SPD
Darmstadt. The SPD Darmstadt to a public on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 , at 8 p.m. in the Heimstättensiedlung housing estate . The meeting point is the clubhouse of the VGH – Vereinsgemeinschaft Heimstättenvereine eV (Association of Heimstätten Associations) , Heimstättenweg 100.
The informal meeting is part of a series in which the SPD Darmstadt regularly seeks dialogue with citizens in various districts. After stops in Arheilgen, Bessungen, the city center, the Postsiedlung and Eberstadt, the series now stops in the Heimstättensiedlung.
Open dialogue on current topics
SPD city association chairman Bijan Kaffenberger, MdL , emphasizes:
“The regular meeting offers a space to openly discuss what concerns people. In the Heimstättensiedlung, the planned route of the ICE line and the associated noise protection are currently a major topic.”
Rita Beller also looking forward to the exchange:
“We have been the contact person for the people in the settlement for decades – this is also reflected in the municipal election results.”
In addition to the ICE high-speed rail line, other topics are on the agenda, including the re-establishment of a citizens' office , the strengthening of voluntary work and associations , the preservation of the Westwald forest as a local recreation area, the securing of school routes , and the discussion about waste separation by the EAD .
Members and interested parties are cordially invited to voice their concerns and exchange ideas with SPD representatives. Further neighborhood meetings are being planned.
