Darmstadt simplifies special parking cards for traders
In its meeting on Wednesday (May 21), the magistrate of the science city of Darmstadt decided to adapt the regulations for the issuance of special parking cards for traders . The aim is to simplify the application, harmonize the fees and to make the parking space management more transparent and more practical.
"In recent years, the launched parking management has proven to be very effective and, if accepted by great acceptance, has significantly reduced parking and parking pressure in the quarters," emphasizes Mobility Director Paul Georg Wandrey .
The new regulation introduces a standardized, digital application procedure . This should be easily accessible via the city's digital town hall. In the future, the fees for special parking cards will be analogously to the residents' parking certificates . The annual fee is currently 120 euros. In the future, this alignment should be maintained permanently in order pricing with almost identical scope of use .
Relief for small and medium -sized businesses
The new staggering of the permits should primarily benefit smaller and medium -sized companies by making sufficient exceptional permits available to them at a fair price. The city also sets a signal that efficient mobility planning should be promoted in the trade.
Compared to other Hessian cities such as Wiesbaden, Frankfurt or Hanau, Darmstadt remains generous in the number of approved exception . The national craftsman park for the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main region remains unaffected by the changes.
"With this measure we take a further step towards mobility peace . Commercialists receive more planning security, and at the same time we contribute to a fairer and more efficient parking space management in Darmstadt," explains Wandrey.
The new procedure should be evaluated after entry into force and adjusted if necessary .
