Accident commission orders speed reduction to increase road safety
WEITERSTADT – On the B42 between the Weiterstadt junction and the B42/Darmstädter Straße/Im Rödling intersection (Segmüller junction), the speed limit in the westbound direction is now 50 km/h instead of the previous 70 km/h .
The measure was not decided by the city of Weiterstadt, but by the accident commission of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district . The reason for the decision is the high number of rear-end collisions on this section of road.
More safety and less noise
The accident commission is pursuing two goals with the speed reduction:
- Improving road safety for all road users
- Reduction of noise pollution in the affected area
All drivers are asked to comply with the new regulation and thus contribute to safe coexistence on the roads.
