Bürger jury decides on the placement-seating now also in front of the Spitzweg pharmacy
The city furniture from the federal funding program Fusable inner cities and centers are moving again within the city center. They have shaped the cityscape since summer 2023-now some elements have been moved from the town hall forecourt to Georg-Schüler-Platz (green room) and on the southern side of Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße in front of the Spitzweg pharmacy.
The new location offers a seat in this section of the street for the first time. "A win," says the owner of the pharmacy. Customers of surrounding shops such as the Hofmann bakery or the pharmacy can now take a break on site. Especially for reduced mobility or older people, the previous path is no longer available across the street or towards Edeka. Waiting times can now be bridged more conveniently.
City furniture jury decides
The elimination was carried out on the recommendation of the so -called city furniture jury - a citizen group that was founded as part of the funding program and supports the furniture in the design and placement. At their fourth meeting in early April, the members spoke out for the new arrangement. The jury also comes from the jury. The sidewalks should remain better - especially for people with mobility restrictions. Other bicycle stands are located at the level of the market square.
New furniture and locations are being planned
In addition to the elimination, the city announces further innovations: shortly, the City Decks new elements that are intended to replace the previous round lying areas. These are first installed on the town hall forecourt.
