Over 1,000 feedback on the "Transform-R" project-online participation and workshops planned
Since March 4, 2025, 14 colorful city furniture has ensured new quality of stay in Groß-Gerau city center. As part of the "Transform-R" , the elements were initiated by the regional association Frankfurtrheinmain and provided by the state program "Restrict Road Roads" as a free loan from the State of Hesse. The project is also funded by the federal government and accompanied scientifically.
Feedback showing a high willingness to participate
more than 1,000 feedback within two months: The interest of the citizens in the design of their city center is great. The suggestions received range from wishes for more parking spaces to ideas for a possible pedestrian zone in Darmstädter Strasse.
"We are very interested in the project. It underlines the importance of this inner city area-both for Groß-Graauerinnen and Groß-Gerauer and for visitors," said urban planning and building management.
Initial measures already implemented
In response to the feedback, the building yard set up two additional trash can on Darmstädter Straße - a frequently expressed wish in connection with the extended range of seats.
Traffic monitoring reveals grievances
An accompanying measuring device for traffic recording provides findings on the use of Darmstädter Straße. It was found that 100 km -in a area with Tempo 30 limit. The city administration sees a need for action here and refers to the increased noise pollution for residents.

Notes on the use of the information stele
Unfortunately, the information stele in the city center installed on site caused improper use: empty feedback slips and pollution affect the function of the system. The city therefore also refers to the possibility of online participation via QR code .
