After 13 years, the time of the long-time Lilies player and official at SV 98 comes to an end.
After a total of 13 years at SV Darmstadt 98, the collaboration with Michael Stegmayer . Both sides have agreed to an immediate termination of their joint work . The 40-year-old joined the Lilies as a player in July 2012 and assumed various organizational roles within the club from 2016 onwards.
Most recently, Stegmayer served as Head of Organization for the licensed players department and played a key role in shaping the recent history of SV 98 in various capacities.
Paul Fernie, Sporting Director at SV Darmstadt 98, explains:
“ Michael Stegmayer has played a key role in shaping the club's recent history in various capacities. We informed him personally that we intend to make a personnel change within the organizational structure. Following our discussion, we mutually agreed to an immediate termination of our collaboration. We wish him all the best for his future endeavors and next steps.”
Michael Stegmayer also commented on his departure:
“ The club informed me in a personal conversation that they wish to restructure their organization. I deeply regret this. Despite the surprising end of this professional chapter, I will always look back with pride on my long time with the Lilies. Therefore, it was important to me to find a clean solution after all these years together. Of course, countless special experiences and moments will remain in my memory, and I am happy to have been part of the most successful period in SV 98's history.”
SV Darmstadt 98 thanks Michael Stegmayer for his many years of service and wishes him all the best for the future.
