Wolfskehlen Primary School successful in the Hessian Student Newspaper Competition
Great success for the Wolfskehlen primary school: The student newspaper “Wolfsgeheul” , a cooperation project of the Riedstadt youth office and the school, has achieved second place in the primary school category at the Hessian student newspaper competition.
Award ceremony in Frankfurt
Eight members of the editorial team, along with Director Susanne Möller and the two editors-in-chief, Regina Noll (GWS) and Kai Faßnacht (Youth Office), traveled to the Goethe-Gymnasium Frankfurt on September 24, 2025, for the awards ceremony. There, the best student newspapers in Hesse were honored in the categories of primary school, special needs school, lower secondary school, and grammar school and upper secondary school.
The event took place in a festive setting in the school's auditorium. The school's chamber orchestra provided the musical accompaniment, performing works by Astor Piazzolla and Zequinha de Abreu.
Proud editorial team
The student newspaper from Wolfskehlen secured an excellent second place in its category. The children present enthusiastically accepted the certificate and celebrated their success together with their chaperones. After a two-hour event with praise and recognition from sponsors and state representatives, the day concluded with a buffet and numerous commemorative photos.
Upon returning to Riedstadt, the young editors were greeted with great pride by their parents at Wolfskehlen train station – an unforgettable day for everyone involved.
