Music, creative activities and lived solidarity: Senior citizens' work invites you to the courtyard of the Raiss house on August 20th
The city's senior citizens' services invite to a grand Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Haus Raiss (Frankfurter Straße 46, Riedstadt). Under the motto "GG – Together We Can Do It," the will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will feature a diverse stage program, creative activities, and culinary offerings. Admission is free.
The festival's motto embodies the idea that community, commitment, and creativity enable strong coexistence, even in times of limited resources. Numerous groups that meet regularly at Haus Raiss contributed to the summer festival – a celebration that is truly "homemade.".
Program and activities at a glance
- 2 p.m. – Start with coffee & cake
- 3 p.m. – Welcome address by Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau
- 3:15 p.m. – Musical Afternoon
- 3:30 p.m. – Performance by the Fidelen Ukulelen
- 4 p.m. – Music with DJ Günter
There's plenty to do offstage as well:
The intergenerational support group is organizing a cake buffet, and the creative group is inviting people to paint stones with nail polish . The Parkinson's self-help group is bringing a mini ping-pong table. There will also be a hat flea market and information booths from the Alzheimer's Society and the Grandmothers Against the Right .
Food and drink will be provided by Mirogh-Catering , supported by volunteer helpers from Haus Raiss.
Enabling participation – donations welcome
The senior citizens' work program welcomes support in the form of cake donations , well-preserved hats , fabric scraps or nail polish remnants for creative activities.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau says:
"The summer festival at Haus Raiss wonderfully demonstrates the strength of the community spirit in our city. When many people achieve great things with small contributions, genuine participation and lived solidarity emerge."

A transport service can be requested by calling 06152 / 716-5200 (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).
