“Zukunft Rhein-Main” invites you to a discussion about sustainable mobility on November 12th.
GROSS-GERAU DISTRICT. How can travel be made environmentally conscious without sacrificing quality of life? This question is the focus of the public event "Green Horizons – Sustainable Travel for a Better Future ," to which the Rhine-Main Municipal Working Group for the Future (KAGZRM) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 , at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber of the Walldorf Town Hall (Flughafenstraße 37, 64546 Mörfelden-Walldorf).
The transport sector – especially air travel – makes a significant contribution to climate change. The focus of the evening will therefore be on how can be made more climate-friendly and sustainable in the future
Experts discuss sustainable travel
Speakers include Dr. Tim Staeger , ARD meteorologist and climate expert, and Frank Herrmann , non-fiction author and expert on responsible tourism. In their keynote speeches, both will provide scientific insights and practical ideas on how travel can be made more sustainable.
Following the presentations, experts and guests discuss climate-friendly alternatives in travel behavior , innovative mobility concepts, and examples of sustainability in practice. The subsequent get-together with light refreshments will also offer an opportunity for exchange and networking.
With this event, KAGZRM aims to shed light on air traffic-related issues in a social context and to inform the public about sustainable future prospects .
