Early termination of the contract by mutual agreement
SV Darmstadt 98 and Jean-Paul Boetius have mutually agreed to terminate the existing contract prematurely. Both sides reached this agreement after joint discussions.
Sporting director Paul Fernie explained that there had been open and constructive communication with the attacking player over the past few months. Against this backdrop, the decision to terminate the contract prematurely was made jointly. Despite a sometimes challenging situation on the pitch, Boetius always conducted himself in an exemplary manner during his time with Darmstadt. The club now hopes that the 31-year-old will find a new club where he can gain regular playing time. Furthermore, SV Darmstadt 98 wishes Boetius the best of luck in his personal dream of participating in a World Cup with the Suriname national team.
Jean-Paul Boetius joined SV Darmstadt 98 in January 2025. During this time, he made a total of 17 competitive appearances for the club from southern Hesse.
SV Darmstadt 98 thanks Jean-Paul Boetius for his commitment in the Lilies jersey and wishes him all the best for his future sporting and personal journey.
