“United in style and history” – the jersey for the 2025/26 season is a tribute to Darmstadt’s cultural heritage
DARMSTADT – SV Darmstadt 98 has unveiled its new home kit for the 2025/26 season. Under the motto "United in Style and History," the jersey, in classic lily blue, stylish design elements with cultural and architectural references to the city of Darmstadt. Developed in collaboration with kit supplier CRAFT , the kit makes a statement both in terms of sport and history.
Art Nouveau and Gothic as design leitmotifs
The new home jersey incorporates elements of Art Nouveau and Gothic architecture – two defining eras in Darmstadt's cityscape. Art Nouveau, for which the Mathildenhöhe is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is reflected in the finely ornamented pattern on the front and back of the jersey. Gothic stylistic elements, such as the characteristic window of the so-called "founding church" at Schlossgartenplatz, are also graphically integrated.
Furthermore, architectural symbols such as the Wedding Tower, as well as historical club crests – including those of FK Olympia and Darmstädter SC 1905 – were stylized and integrated into the design. The white lily, the central emblem of SV 98, adorns the chest area as usual.
Attention to detail – with the Darmstadt lettering in Art Nouveau typography
The collar and cuffs feature a blue and white striped pattern "Darmstadt" is prominently displayed on the back in Art Nouveau typography. Above it is a stylized church window with the club's initials, "svd98".
The sponsors have also adapted to the overall design concept: The logos of HAIX (main partner) and Suzuki (sleeve partner) appear in reduced versions in white or as negative print – so the color scheme of the jersey remains consistently blue and white .
Sales launch with scavenger hunt – premiere against Notts County
online now and as part of a GPS-based scavenger hunt on Tuesday, July 8th, between 3 pm and 7 pm in Darmstadt. The GPS coordinates for the mobile sales stand will be published on the SV 98 website . The first ten Darmstadt fans to find the stand will receive the new home jersey for free.
Regular sales begin on Wednesday, July 9th , at the fan shops on Friedensplatz and at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor . The price is €84.98 for adults and €59.98 for children . Anyone who buys an adult jersey by July 22nd can also purchase a child's jersey for half price .
First test against traditional English club
The new home kit will make its sporting debut on Wednesday evening (July 9th) in the friendly match against Notts County . Kick-off is at 6:30 pm at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor .
