Jan Bergholz will also take on brand management – Jan Becher will become sports press officer
Darmstadt. SV Darmstadt 98 is setting the course for strategic development in its public relations: Jan Bergholz (pictured left), previously head of media and communications, will also be responsible for the newly created "Brand" developing and implementing clear brand strategy and positioning based on the club's mission statement
As part of this structural adjustment, Jan Becher (pictured right), previously responsible for SV 98's content presence in the club's own media, is moving into the role of Sports Press Officer . His responsibilities will include leading pre- and post-match press conferences. In his new role, Becher will continue to report to Jan Bergholz, who will remain the club's spokesperson and retain overall responsibility for media affairs.
Jan Bergholz explains: “I am looking forward to an exciting additional area of responsibility. Being able to take on the brand management process together with my team is very appealing to me. By deciding to hand over public relations for the sports division to Jan Becher, I am not only creating the necessary capacity for my future tasks, but also giving a long-standing and valued employee the opportunity for further development.”
With this personnel decision, SV Darmstadt 98 strengthens both its internal communication and the strategic brand development of the club.
