Two talents from their own offspring move up into the professional squad of the lilies
SV Darmstadt 98 continues to focus on the promotion of young talents from their own young talent center: 18-year-old players Tim Arnold and Max Pfister receive professional contracts for the coming season and are firmly included in the lilies' squad.
"Max and Tim are an optimal example of our way to have young players gaining initial experiences in the men's area at an early stage," explains Paul Fernie, sporting director at SV 98. "Both have proven in both the U21 and the professionals that they have great potential and at the same time are extremely willing to learn.
Continuous structure via U21 and training sessions at the professionals
Tim Arnold , who has been playing in the youngsters of the lilies since the U11, has already been six times in the professional team under coach Florian Kohfeldt . He was also regularly involved in the training company of the second division team.
Max Pfister , who moved to Darmstadt from the youth of the 1st FSV Mainz 05 in 2022, also took part in many training sessions of the professionals and was part of the squad in both training camps - in summer and winter.
Strong achievements in the Hessenliga
Although both players were still eligible for the U19, they were used Hessenliga Tim Arnold (born in 2006) completed 26 games , Max Pfister (born 2007) in 27 games and also ran in two encounters for the U19 in the DFB youth league.
With the new professional contracts, SV Darmstadt 98 once again underlines its long -term concept of talent promotion and the strategic focus on its own offspring.
