Hessen Mobil examines the building ground - demolition of the dilapidated bridge for August planned
The blocked valley bridge near Bad König/Zell in the course of the federal road 45 will be examined comprehensively from this week: Hessen Mobil has announced that it can start with several exploration holes in order to precisely analyze the building ground under and on the bridge. The results flow into the planning of the replacement new building , which was necessary due to serious concrete damage.
The bridge spanned the Mümling and a railway line and was completely closed to traffic at the end of April 2025. The first drilling is made at the opposite , the pillar locations and in the area below the bridge. In total, drilling depths of up to 30 meters planned. The investigations should take around two weeks and cost around 130,000 euros , financed by the federal government.
