TCB celebrates with senior championships, 25-hour tournament and ITF-Dament tournament
The Tennis Club Bessungen 2000 Darmstadt EV (TCB) 25th anniversary this year -with a sporty anniversary program on the club's club behind the racetrack . The focus is on three major events that celebrate the quarter of a century worthy of the club: the Hessian senior championships , a 25-hour tournament and the 49th international women's tennis on the world tournament "Tennis International" .
Founded in 2000 from the earlier tennis department of the gymnastics community Bessungen, the TCB today has around 600 members and is therefore one of the most successful tennis associations in Darmstadt. In addition to the latitudes and young sports, the association is also represented in the regional league South-Southwest- the highest German division for women 40.
Three large highlights of tournament for the anniversary
The anniversary summer begins with the Hessian senior championships of the Hessian Tennis Association (HTV) . Between June 16 and 22 , players between the ages of 30 and 80 in various age groups on the facility in Darmstadt. The HTV transferred the orientation of the tournament to the TCB in recognition of the reliable organization and high quality on site.
Another sporting highlight is the unusual 25-hour tournament : from Thursday, July 18 (from 7 p.m.) to Friday, July 19 (8 p.m.), tennis is played continuously-even at night. The conclusion is celebrated on the festival meadow with DJ D-Zero .
The highlight of the anniversary year follows the 49th ITF dating tournament "Tennis International" July 14th to 20th . It is the oldest world ranking tournament of its kind in Germany. Many later top players collected the first world ranking points here. The slogan "Whoever strikes in better" has long since become a trademark - and reflects the special importance of the tournament for international tennis sports.
Commitment and promotion of young talent
The TCB is not only successful in sports, but also an active sponsor of children's and youth tennis. With a wide range of training and strong youth work, the association contributes to the development of young talents in the region. Volunteering and family life are central elements.
