The Bergstraße district presents the winning photo calendar all about cycling
The Bergstraße district has awarded prizes to the winners of its cycling-themed photo competition. From numerous submissions, a cycling photo calendar has been created, showcasing the region's diverse landscape from various perspectives. The calendar was recently presented by District Administrator Christian Engelhardt .
The competition was launched at the beginning of the year by the Public Transport and Mobility Department of the district administration. The aim was to highlight the joy of cycling and, at the same time, to showcase the unique landscape of the Bergstraße district. "What could be more inviting for cycling than the beautiful surroundings of our district?" said Engelhardt at the presentation. The resulting calendar is intended to serve as a long-term reminder that cycling is not only practical but also enjoyable.
The jury selects twelve motifs
A jury consisting of the district administrator, ADFC Bergstraße representative Anette Seip, and Lisa-Marie Riemann and Dennis Riebel from the district administration selected the twelve images for the calendar from numerous submissions. The selected photographs depict cycling in everyday life, on commutes, during excursions, or in leisure time – taken throughout the district.
The winners presented their pictures and the stories behind them at the press conference. All participants received a copy of the finished calendar.
The diversity of motifs reflects the region
The calendar features twelve photographs, with the image for December also serving as the cover. The photos showcase mountain bikes, e-bikes, and other unusual bicycles, all set against the backdrop of the Bergstraße district's landscape. The images illustrate the diverse and captivating experiences the region offers from a bicycle's perspective.
