25 years of Theater Lakritz – with theater, supporting program and free admission
Darmstadt. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Theater Lakritz to a special anniversary program at Theater Moller Haus on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The highlight of the evening will be a performance of "Moby Dick" at 8:00 PM – a modern theatrical adaptation of the novel by Herman Melville, featuring striking language and powerful imagery.
The story centers on Ishmael, a young man searching for life beyond the fields. He embarks on a journey on the whaling ship Pequod under the obsessed Captain Ahab, whose only motivation is revenge on the whale that once took his leg. A journey fraught with danger, symbolism, and destruction.
The play lasts 75 minutes , is aimed at audiences ages 12 and up , and is free of charge . Advance ticket reservations are required by email to karten@theatermollerhaus.de .
