25 years of Theater Lakritz – with theater, supporting program and free admission
Darmstadt. To mark its 25th anniversary, the Lakritz Theater to a special anniversary program at the Moller House Theater on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The highlight of the evening is the performance of "Moby Dick" at 8:00 p.m. – a modern theatrical adaptation of the novel by Herman Melville, featuring impressive language and powerful imagery.
The story centers on Ishmael, a young man searching for a life beyond the fields. On the whaling ship Pequod, he embarks on a journey under the obsessive Captain Ahab, whose sole motivation is revenge against the whale that once took his leg. A voyage fraught with danger, symbolism, and destruction.
The play lasts 75 minutes , is suitable for audiences aged 12 and up , and is free of charge . Advance ticket reservation via email to karten@theatermollerhaus.de is required.

The children's play "Robin Hoon" at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM – a modern story about justice, courage, and standing up for a better world. Suitable for children aged 5 and up .
Around the performances, guests can expect a colorful supporting program with games and food in the courtyard of the Moller House Theatre.
