If the therapy goes differently than planned
A waiting room, six patients – but not a psychiatrist in sight. Chaos ensues when the planned therapy session takes a completely different turn than expected. Each of the waiting patients is battling their own obsessive-compulsive disorder .
- Fred Tourette syndrome since childhood .
- Vincent can't help but count numbers .
- Clara has a phobia of germs .
- Bob needs perfect symmetry and cannot step on lines.
- Marie tries control her obsessive-compulsive disorder through constant prayer.
- Lili is a walking record – with constantly repeating words and movements.
When the group is left to its own devices, a process begins that is as funny as it is touching: they get to know each other and their quirks, accept each other and undergo therapy together.
Using humor to achieve self-acceptance
“TOC TOC”, written by Laurent Baffie , is a fast-paced comedy full of witty dialogue that humorously poses the question: What is normal – and what isn't? With charm and energy, the play shows that understanding and closeness are often more important than any therapy.
