DSW12 young swimmers ended season with international success for Slovakia
Darmstadt. The young swimmer Tom Howorka from DSW 1912 Darmstadt celebrated a strong international debut European Youth Olympic Festival (Eyof) in Skopje The young athlete showed convincing achievements in international competition at the end of the season for the Slovakian national team
Over 100 meters of freestyle, Howorka struck in 54.72 seconds and thus finished 22nd in the overall classification. It went even better over 50 meters freestyle : In 24.63 seconds, the DSW12 swimmer reached the semi-finals and secured a strong 15th place . Howorka also showed his potential in the mixed relay competition-together with the Slovak team, he took a respectable 11th place .
After the successful participation of Niclas Keilmann at the Junior European Championships, Howorka is already the second DSW12 athlete , who started this year in a significant international youth competition. The association sees this a confirmation of the successful youth work and warmly congratulates its athlete on this successful end of the season.
With the Eyof, an intensive competition season ends for Howorka. The DSW12 is now saying goodbye to a short summer break - but in a few weeks the first training camps will start preparing for the coming season.
