Photo documentation by René Antonoff shows the first impressions
Until the opening of the Tony Cragg on April 26, 2025, there are still a few weeks - but on the Mathildenhöhe, the Rose height and around the Spanish tower in Darmstadt is already in motion. The impressive sculptures of the internationally renowned artist Tony Cragg, including works such as "Points of View" , "Stack" , "Tommy" or "Mixed Feelings" , have been maneuvered to their precisely planned locations in the past few days.
The Darmstadt photographer René Antonoff accompanied the structure and captured impressive impressions for Da.news . The photo gallery shows: Before Cragg's sculptures can develop their calm strength in public space, the highest precision is required-for example when attaching the loops that have to give the tons that had a safe stop when transporting.
A special highlight of the exhibition is the stainless steel sculpture "Points of View" was placed at a height of over six meters directly in front of the exhibition building of the Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt Other works can be seen on the sculpture path, which extends over around 1.3 kilometers through public space.
The official vernissage will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in front of the exhibition building on the Mathildenhöhe. The exhibition runs until October 26, 2025 .
