Rental business with Alemannia Aachen is supposed to secure game practice / Fernie: "Optimal development opportunities for Fabio"
SV Darmstadt 98 has extended the contract with Fabio Torsiello early and at the same time agreed a loan for the coming season: the 20-year-old offensive player changes to Alemannia Aachen to the 3rd division.
Torsiello comes from Darmstadt and has been part of the Lilien youth performance center since 2016. In December 2022, he signed his first professional contract with SV 98. Most recently, he was loaned to SpVgg Unterhaching , where he scored three goals in the second half of the past third division season in 17 games and contributed a template.
Further development in focus
Sports director Paul Fernie explains the decision as follows:
"For his further development, Fabio will continue to need regular operations - as he has received in Unterhaching in the past few months. Therefore, we have jointly decided to extend the contract and change again. We are convinced that Aachen offers optimal opportunities to take the next steps."
The loan to Alemannia is part of the long -term young strategy of SV 98. The aim is to provide young players at an early stage in the professional field in order to target them to the level of the 2nd Bundesliga.
